Insurance Timeline
At our October 1st meeting, COO Dr. Susan Johnson and Director of HR Zach Seawell presented an overview of the insurance changes for 65+ that will go into effect on January 1st. A timeline of the transition can be seen if you click on "Insurance Timeline" above. You should soon be receiving an announcement letter and FAQs, and note there are several upcoming information sessions.

… Public Schools will not have any deductions for health insurance premiums on February 15, 2022 and February 28, 2022. Deductions for health insurance premiums will resume with the pay for March 15, 2022.

July. 2021

Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) wishes to announce two changes happening to our insurance benefits through CCPS.

 

The following changes will be effective July 1, 2021:  

 

1) Our current prescription plan with Express Scripts will be replaced with CareFirst CVS Caremark.   

 

2.)  Our current Preferred Provider Network (PPO) health plan will be replaced with the CareFirst BlueChoice Advantage (BCA) plan.

 

More detailed information will be coming to you during Open Enrollment which starts on April 1, 2021 and ends April 30, 2021.
